How often do you guys clean it with any wet tissues, microfiber, etc? Every month or so I see some dirty stuff accumulating in between spaces of the the wrist. On my 16234.

I clean mine every week or every other week, somtimes once a day if it's hot and I'm using sunscreen. Keep it clean and your bracelet won't wear out as quickly.

Sounds like yours may require a bit more cleaning the first time. You might want to consider taking it to your local jewelers and having them place the bracelet in a Ultra Sonic cleaner. I would highly recomend taking the bracelet off of the watch and not placing the watch head in the cleaner.

At the advice of some members here, I went to veraet.com and ordered their cleaning spray solution and brand new microfiber cloth. I clean my watch at least once per week with the solution, rinse with warm water, dry with the MF cloth. Fantastic results, very easy to do, hopefully mitigating 'stretch' possibilities.

Just plain old soap and water has worked well for me in over 30 years of owning and wearing and using Rolex as tool watches.With today watches that get such a pamperd life I sometimes wonder why old Hans Wilsdorf took the trouble to make them one of the toughest watches on this planet today just wash in water once or twice a week.

I just use dish washing soap rinse with warm water. I dry it with a towel and she looks good.

I use Veraet as well and it works great. Gives watch a better shine IMHO. It is pretty cheap for the whole kit as well. With that said- warm water and soap fine too as long as you keep it clean- especially in the summer and warmer months.

Great thank you for your thoughts. I used just plain water + microfiber to wipe out the gaps thoroughly but I guess the soap can really help with getting it shiny. I think I also know when other said "ultra sonic cleaner" I think they wipe my glasses with that!

DDDress's post also answers my other question. I gain a few seconds a day.

I am trying to visualize, but is this the right way to lose a few according to the direction?

I am starting to become a bigger Rolex fan. I have only seen two other people who are my peers who wore Rolex. But its not like I am trying to show it off to other people, but I just truly like the design of it. I dont know why, but I just love all aspect of the design.... Its just classy.

here in the tropical climate, i just keep it on when showering every day, then towel dry and it's nice and clean

I clean mine daily, at a minimum by rinsing under the faucet and drying with a microfiber cloth. At least twice a week I give it a good cleaning with Veraet and a soft bristle brush. As for your watch position, the guidance is: (1) lay it face up to gain a few seconds; (2) crown down to lose a few seconds; (3) crown up [as you have shown] to lose a few seconds more. I recently came upon another bit of advice that said to lose even more seconds if needed, to rest the watch so the face is sitting straight up. I tried it just as an experiment and had great success. My new DJ consistently gained 3 seconds/day (well within COSC) and now gains about 1 second/day. The other resting positions had little effect.

I usually wash my GMT once a week using mild dish soap and luke warm water...then I towel dry. Sometimes I forget so then it's no more than two weeks!!!

I have a soft fingernail brush in the shower. Loosen the clasp, scrub bracelet inside and out, back of the case, front of the case, rinse soapy water off. Worked for years.
