You did get one heck of a great watch.

Anything else really wouldn't have been that much anyway. My winders have long since been given away, my hats sit in a closet, I already drank the wine, and the dinner I got is long since forgotten.

I still wear my watch, and brother that's all that matters.

Okey Dokey. Me, I'm just happy to get the watch I want (hopefully at a fair price), and some solid knowledgeable service before the purchase!

Yeah that really stinks cos the President of GM called me personally after I bought my new Buick LaCrosse which I thought was nice.

Sometimes I got a free dinner. Couple times got a thank you in the mail. Other than that it's a big purchase but really not different from buying a bag of M&M's.

Be patient, it usually takes the AD about 2-3 months to send you something and it takes a little longer for Rolex due to the huge amount of global sales, so expect something from the Rolex Corp. Offices in Geneve in about 3-6 months.

Don't know what you're looking for, but ask the ad for a free appraisal so you can insure it. useful for you, easy for them and better than a hat or coffee mug IMO.

I usually get a thank you note from the AD. Other than that...just enjoy the watch.

I wasn't expecting anything after my Rolex purchase. But I thought it was nice to receive a thank you note from the owner as well as a hat.

Me thinks there should be a little more value placed on purchasing a Rolex than, say, a Hickory Farms Summer Sausage & Cheese gift set. But maybe that's just me.

Are you sure the rope was authentic?

My guess is that it depends on the AD, how many watches you have bought from them, etc. I got some golf tees but i wasn't expecting anything.

I have since called them and asked them to set aside the new catalog, which they did.

Not sure why you would expect anything from the AD. I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask for a baseball hat?

After my Daytona purchase I got immediate attention every time I walked into the shop thereafter. My salesman dropped what he was doing with other customers to resize my bracelet for me. He also personally called me a couple times to see how I was enjoying the watch.

Id rather build a relationship than get a meat and cheese gift. Thats just me though.

Perhaps you should go back to the dealer and convey your feelings to the salesperson.

Get it off your chest, that sort of thing.

I think for a great many people the purchase of a Rolex watch has been planned for several years.
This can be due to wanting to celebrate a particular birthday/anniversary/event or simply having to save up the funds.
Everyone is different but at the end of the day you have a superb timepiece that will last a lifetime.

Enjoy your Rolex!

Dont worry you will recieve junk mail from the AD for the rest of your life. I just got a coupon for 50 bucks off if I spend a 100.

The egocentrism or naively,I'm not sure which (could be both), exhibited so often in TRF never ceases to amaze me!
