It's back!

Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum.

I had just went thru the toughest weeks of my life cause I had just send my 10 years old SD to RSC for its well deserve servicing during the last week of Jan. And man my heart sank when the counter lady told me that i would be getting my watch back on 3rd of March... and it made me even more uncomfortable when browsing this forum ... but this beautiful afternoon i received a call from RSC telling me that my watch is ready for collection and i was like wtf??? so fast??? So i rush down to RSC after work and there it was, my beloved SD, looking exactly the way i want her to be (unpolished ) and better.

While examine the watch, i noticed a LEC on my crystal without the S which means they replaced my old crystal, and i remembered that my old crystal is perfect without a scratch. So do replacement crystal comes with the S or not ?

Welcome to TRF.

Looking good. Yes the S would indicate it was replaced during service. Glad to hear you got it back so quick.

To prevent going into Rolex withdrawls in the future when turning one in forservice you may want to get a couple more for backup purposes.

I guess I'm confused did it come back with an S or not.

But bottom line is that when it is replaced they doesn't always always use one with an S. Doesn't really matter as long as you have a good one.

Were you charged for a crystal on top of your service cost? Rolex don't replace sapphire crystals unless they're damaged, and when they do, they charge for them

Hmm...I'm not really sure as i was distracted when the counter girl was telling me what was being done during the servicing (checking out the babe next to me...) but i remembered hearing her say the hands will be replaced, the crown and something something something...

Looks really nice. I can't wait to get mine back from service. I got the call, but the snow here in Michigan is going to postpone my trip to my AD for a few days. I will take and post pictures.

I told them not to polish my watch as there's no major ding on my watch. I paid about $630usd for it.

I know what you went through. I just had my watch in for servicing and it was the longest three weeks of my life. I ended up buying a Seiko Black Monster, but that didn't really ease the pain so I got a PAM 50. Now the PAM is in for servicing, but I don't miss it nearly as much as my Rolex. Both of theses watches were per-owned and they have never been serviced, so I figured I'll take care of them now before any problems occur down the road.

X2

There's an earlier thread on this but my search skills kept me from finding it.
