My gold yacht master
A few years a go I took a bad fall and scratched my gold Y.M. I lived in London so went straight to the RSC in St James. They took and a day later I got the watch back and it looked LIKE NEW...Superb service!
Now...a while later I discovered that the bezel is very stiff to move. It does move but it is quite a job to move it. What could this be...Can it be fixed?...Does it matter? Thanks John. |

That's a possibility. It maybe just a bit stiff. Try to move it a few times in both directions. If it's still problematic you could either take it to your nearest AD or RSC and have them look at it for you.

I would go back to RSC.. If its stiff but smooth, no worries.. If its stiff to move but feels gritty.. See the RSC

Sorry to hear, I'll leave the experts to answer your question - but on a selfish note, LET'S SEE SOME PICS! :)
PS - It actually shocks me that the YG Yacht-Master doesn't get more love especially when compared to other gold sports models... I'm obsessed with this watch. |

Before you send it back to the RSC for a stiff bezel, research in TRF Reference Library and learning how to remove the bezel and clean it yourself.
It is probably just a combination of dirt and dried up lubrication.

quick fix ,,, couple of drops of white spirit into where the crystal meets the bezel , should lube it enough to turn freely , then just leave it , or rinse in warm soapy water , then clean water to rise the soapy stuff away , unless you have a good touch id leave the gold bezel to someone who has... not being offensive but if you scratched the case with a slip you wouldnt forgive yourself... hth

Although it is possible to do yourself, I wouldn't want to take the chance of messing it up if it were me.
