GMT IIc bracelet

My watch is a bit loose, don't know if it is because it's winter. I have taken out off a link and moved the position out a notch in the clasp, but then it was a bit tight.
My question is does a link equal to two notches in the clasp as I have put back the link now?

The mechanism on the GMTIIc where you can adjust without the spring bar tool is like half a link.
Remember, you can also adjust the pin at the buckle without having to take any links out.
For the most adjustments, take off / add on links.

Just keep trying different combinations and you'll eventually get it right. I would suggest having a good/comfortable fit with the 'shortened' strap so that you can expand if your wrist inflates
