NEW Arrival GMTIIC: Round 2

Good afternoon guys (and gals),
This morning I received my favorite type of delivery. A Fed Ex Overnight box from Tony (JustRolexes) containing my new random serial GMTII C.

I originally owned this watch back in 2010 and foolishly traded it away a few months later. At the time, I owned a Black LN Sub C, a Sea Dweller and the GMTIIC. I figured that I had too many black-dialed sport watches. However, after trading the LN Sub C for an LV Sub C (my absolute favorite watch BTW), I had an empty slot for another black dial and immediately brought the GMTIIC back home where it belongs.

The watch is extremely comfortable, has bold bezel fonts, and nice PCLs when I want a little bit of a dressier look than the Sub C. This one will make a great travel companion and all-around daily wearer. I plan to rotate back and forth daily between the GMT and the LV with the PAM 177 batting cleanup on the weekends. The other watches in my collection have been stored at the bank so I can focus on my core three.

It is definitely a keeper this time!
(I will post some side-by-side shots with the LV tomorrow...)

Please keep it this time, it's such a lovely watch, what more can you want from a watch. It has looks, style, panache and is a true classic??

Glad you got it back. I did the same thing, and will not get rid of GMTII-c again--it's a keeper for sure. Enjoy it...again.

Do you think you'll wear the LV more than the GMT?

Good question, Rob. The HULK is my absolute favorite modern reference, so after the honeymoon phase is over, I will most likely wear the LV 60-70% of the time. The fully brushed bracelet makes it perfect for daily wear and the green is to die for. If I could only keep one watch...it would definitely be the LV, but this GMTIIC is a pretty darn close runner up.
