Question ...gold explorer 2
A bit ago there was a thread where someone photo shopped a gold explorer 2. If anyone could link it, post the pic or if you remember the name of the thread I would appreciate it.
I really have to say I am in LOVE with my explorer 2. It's so comfortable, I love the lume, I've been wearing it everywhere, even to bed. I realized how much I like the brushed finish on the explorer 2 and on my yg Daytona I really wish they would soothe Daytona in an all brushed gold version or just do the explorer that way. So I wanted to see that pic, that's why I made this thread |

I think the gold would look great. I'm not really much of a gold guy but I do admire how stunning they look...and the heft. But I'm sure the purist would say nay...the Exp2 is a tool watch...and I'd probably have to agree on that one.

Actualy I wouldn't be a bit surprised if they came out with a gold and TT ExpII , because the Sub and Gmt are offered in gold.

If you want gold then has to the gmt master , as such I don't see a gold explorer to be made.

Thanks for those pics.
I love the brushed gold. I wish they did an all brush gold watch. I think the brushed gold looks better than the polished gold |

It's not that unrealistic but what of the Datejust models? I don't know the statistics but I believe that more Datejust are sold than the Explorer so I would expect to a TT or 18kt before a TT or 18kt Explorer. |

I could be wrong but I would say there is no way Rolex would do any kind of gold Explorer. Looks ok but with the high prices of gold models I would only consider a Smurf, Bluesy, of GMT II C in all gold with green dial.

I think a gold Exp-II would look amazing!

By the way, to those who warned the OP against buying one, rest assured that everybody around here is aware this model doesn't exist, we're actually just talking about a photoshop job somebody on the forum did!

an all gold EXP 2 looks very similar to a YG GMT 2c. the only thing is the dial is white on the EXP 2.

I like that that the Explorers are only offered in SS, makes it more special.
Like the Sea Dweller. No bling bling. |
