Sub is back on leather...

I have been switching the straps (Stainless, Nato, synthetic rubber, etc) around on my Sub 16800 in an effort to get the fit just right. I've been wearing an older 1966 Tudor sub this week on a very old/cheap strap, and I noticed that it's quite comfortable.

The $20 dollar Speidel leather band is very comfortable, the key for me was finding a thin/comfortable band to hold the awesome submariner- I think I've done it. The Stainless bracelet will now rest in the cabinet and avoid wear...

The versatility of the Sub lends itself to look good with nearly any strap...you got a nice pair of Subs...love that Tudor.

Gorgeous pair! I once saw a member who had a 16800 and it had a black/tan stitch strap on it. It looked fantastic because of the patina! You should find one! It'd look amazing! Your Tudor is very nice! Let me know if you need someone to take care of one anytime!

Thanks ...

Yes, I looked around for a unique strap, then settled on this generic stitch type. This photo below shows that the faded pear dot is the only real patina looking piece on the watch- The rest of this watch pretty much resembles the newer 16610 Sub. I am continually impressed with the build quality of the Rolex Submariner- one last photo gentlemen...

In terms of the Tudor Dan, it's still on loan, however I am attempting to trade a lower end 1980's gibson electric guitar for it..., I'll find out next week...

I've just bought some bracelets for my Sub-C and was wondering if I could change the bracelets out myself. Do I need a special tool? How did you change out the bracelets? Anything I need to watch out for?

Thanks...

All of my watches have lug holes, so bracelet swaps are easily done with a toothpic or other watch tool. I ended up putting the 16800 back on the original bracelet:
