2 Years 3 Watches & a whole lot of knowledge

Found this place just over 2 years ago whilst trying to get as much info on a DSSD, i already had a 16610 but i'd fallen for the Deep Sea big time & the local AD just sneered at me when i inquired, claiming a waiting list of around 120 people damn, was it really THAT popular.

So, having joined TRF my itch just got worse & worse with many of you posting some great pic's & giving me an even bigger headache....my urges were such that i closed the store one afternoon just to travel to the nearest Mappin & Webb who had kindly got me one in to try, being a bit of a beast i didn't want to buy in haste only to regret later anyhow, after a cuppa & a whole lot of haggling we couldn't reach a deal so i came home home disappointed. The following week i closed again & drove over 200 miles to another AD (independent) who not only had one in stock but offered me a 10% deal

Over the months i struck up new friendships, gained more knowledge & spent a load more cash on a further 2 watches & a belly full of other goodies

i've questioned at times the money i've spent & probably will do after every future purchase but once the dust has settled i have no regrets & look forward to the next purchase & gaining even more knowledge.

Looking good Chad

I almost bought that book in Milan and then realised it would probably use up my 10kg hand luggage allowance all by itself....

Some very nice artifacts there as well........

I am a newbie here but I always read your posts and enjoy both the content and the pictures. This thread particularly tweaked me because I too originally found TRF in my search for more info about the Deepsea, and once I started reading I was in nirvana! This forum is ACE. Please keep posting Chad, and congratulations on a stellar line up of watches.

This place is the best. I love how easy it is to search and read detailed threads from the past and learn!
