More Knowledge needed!
What are all the differences between the Sub. Like sub C, etc? Is there a couple different kinds of the same watch? Movement, size, etc?
Does Rolex still use Zenith? Isnt Zenith its own brand? Oh so much to learn. Thank You!

In the current range there are two model families of the Submariner:
Submariner 14060M Submariner Date 116610/116613/116618/116619 The Submariner has no date, and is the closest you can get to a brand new vintage watch. Very similar to the original Submariner, it's simple, lightweight and tough. It uses the cal. 3130 (Rolex's workhorse non-date gent's movement). It has the classic 93150 bracelet which is robust, but feels very light and low-tech compared to a lot of watch bracelets on the market right now. The watch was originally launched in the late 1980s, and received an updated movement in the 1990s. The latest Submariner (also known colloquially as the Sub C) is very much a modern luxury dive watch - it's had a thorough update from its predecessor (the 16610), including a new ceramic bezel, new bracelet, new clasp, new case, new dial and new handset. It uses the cal. 3135, again, a solid workhorse movement. Available in steel, steel and gold, 18ct yellow gold and 18ct white gold. The ceramic models first started to appear in 2008 All of Rolex's movements are now in house - the movements originating from Zenith were used in the Daytona, and that has had a Rolex in-house movement since 2001. Zenith is indeed a standalone brand and has no further connection with Rolex. Hope this answers your questions Chris |

Awesome. Because I look at the classifieds I see Sub this Sub that. I just wanted to make sense of it all. Seeing my next purchase will be a sport diver.
