Discount on Green Sub (The Hulk)

I'm close to getting the Hulk. From everything I've read so far, nobody has gotten anything off list for this watch. I was happy and ready to pay $8,550 to get it, but just saw that someone did get 15% off at an AD.

Has anyone else gotten any discounts on this at all? If i can shave $1,200 off of the price I'd be a VERY happy man! I'd also be willing to drive far and wait a bit longer to get it done.

Try one of the many trusted sellers here. You can probably do better than msrp.

Good luck!

I have had ZERO luck finding them in AD's, let alone with discounts.

Even ones on here selling in Mint condition that are used are going for near $8K

Tough watch to find.....

I think that rolex has scared the discounts out of a lot of ad's.. They just do not want to take a chance on a watch like the sub where they know alot of people would be more then happy to walk in and pay full msrp.

Speaking with my AD yesterday, the store manager was telling me that Rolex are reducing production on the green sub, the green milgaus and one other sports model...I guess they are creating the supply shortage and mass demand like they have done with the Daytona. I'd jump on one at MSRP if you are able to get one now

I can get one now, but I saw a Buyer post a copy of the receipt for $7,300. There has to be a discount somewhere, no?

Yea they are out there for good customers. I honestly havent seen it discounted and have seen SS Daytona discounts in the south. People are going to talk about discounts all the time and then they will be called liars because they won't name where to get the discount. How the cycle goes.

I paid $7,300 (no tax) + $75 overnight FEDEX from a trusted TRF seller for a "like new" G LVc with blank warranty card (my name now), but I've never heard of that price new from any AD.

PM me if you want to know the seller - highly recommended.

Good luck with your search!

I paid a few hundred over the above poster and thought it was fair... Although that particular watch is still in the safe and unworn- so not sure if it was a deal! Lol! 5% was offered local with NO haggling,so please shop around or buy right here! A few phone calls to the big resellers will yield you fine results.

Best of luck
Nate

Maybe...if someone has spent a ton of cash on luxury watches at that particular AD...

But what is it you think you would do to get that discount?

Ex: Someone "claims" they got a discount at AD XYX in Anytown, USA and makes a post on TRF. You then call that AD and ask for the same or similar discount on the Hulk...Are you expecting that AD to say, "Sure, come on down"

If you want to save some cash, buy used on TRF!

Have to agree with this.

But to some it is worth a little more to buy new from an AD.

It is up to you.

Your best price on a new green Sub will be here.

You can definitely get better than MSRP from one of the trusted sellers.
I have gotten a good discount from my AD but that was before Rolex tightened the reigns on discounting but haven't checked lately.
Most ADs aren't willing to discount on SS sport models anymore.
Best bet is here.
You're gonna love the 116610LV!

Can't go wrong with the trusted sellers on here. I am so glad I picked up my Hulk last year for $7275.

I picked one up from an AD about 9 months ago @ 20% off. I guess I was at the right place at the right time. Keep Trying, Good Luck.

No, that's not how I'm expecting it to go down, I'm not a moron. If an AD did give a discount on that watch once they'll do it again. I negotiate for a living so I can get it done. The challenge is knowing who will move and who won't.

I imagine you are a good negotiator - as you do it for a living. However, I disagree with your premise here.

Folks who do seem to (really) get a discount at an AD ( and not just talk about it) under more and more pressure from Rolex NOT to give a discount usually seem to have some sort of relationship. In the past they have either bought plenty of over-priced jewelry at MSRP, or several high-end watches.

Why would an AD realistically negotiate with a stranger on the phone - or who makes an appearance out of the blue - when he could sell that popular (relatively low-price popular sport watch) to someone walking in who will pay MSRP and be glad to do it? Or...give a small break to a regular customer who will drop more cash in the future.

I am sure I am missing something in your strategy...
