From the inside of the stretchable link, open the center tab on the long side by use a watch case knife, reach down to the end where hold to next link, lift up by 60 degree, and do the same thing on another link you need to remove to. pull apart the links so you can slide the center piece out from the link pin (bar), snap in to the one you need to shorten, and bend the piece back by push against the front and make the gap as small as possible.
