I'm in LOVE...

Well I've never paid much attention to APs but after we got the AP sub forum here on TRF I've been following closely. I'm head over heels for the AP ROO Chrono ref. 26170ST.OO.1000ST.01. I've looked but not seen as many pics as I would like. Any wrist shots guys? My grails were the WG Sub C or GMTIIC in YG with green dial. I think I'll take the AP over both. I don't want this to turn into a discount or price thread but what should I expect to pay for the watch. I was going to buy another $10k ish watch but I want to hold off for the AP now. It might take a little while to save since I am getting married in 4 months (not paying for wedding but buying my fiancé a Rolex DJ in gold with diamond bezel.) I would also like some AD references in NJ, Philly, or NY. I would really like to buy from AD since it will be my last big watch purchase for a while. Do AP ADs discount (I know it's prob depending on customer?). I do want it on the bracelet if that matter. Thanks so much for any help you can give an AP newbie!!!

That's amazing as well. Really like it. I wonder how the 44mm looks in person.

+1, it was that exact panda that did it for me a few years back when i saw it in vegas.
My first ROO was the rubber clad, then after the fact saw the panda. Sold off the rubber clad in hopes of getting a panda roo bracelet one day.
Even tho i wound up getting the Roo "Dark Side evil Panda"

If I get the one on the bracelet is it a simple switch to rubber and back? I do not care for rolexes on straps but love the ROO on rubber. Sorry I'm such a newb with these. Looking at all of these are making me want one even more. I might need to sell something soon LOL. I need this watch. I've never wanted a watch this badly. Even when I was waiting on my DSSD to be released I wasn't this bad. I'm going to be good and save though. Really nothing I want to sell and I will not touch savings for a luxury such as a watch (even though I love it so much)

Fairly easy to swap between bracelets and straps. If you buy the ROO with bracelet only you will need the AP Bands conversion kit so you can get the two end links loose and then fit the strap. Now, if you buy the rubber strap version you can add the bracelet afterwards and then you won't need the conversion kit. Now the bracelet by itself is pricey when bought after the fact. Pull the trigger on one and post a pic!!!

My suggestion is to buy Pre owned from this forum. Some great sellers here selling AP watches at a very good price. Unbeatable. Good luck !

Unless you can get brand new for same price as pre owned...

My watch is in the classifieds. Oh this is killing me. I'm really fighting this now. The $20k is more than I want to pay though.

That's actually a great price for brand new....good lord, that thing is still in its protective package. Sean or BodyBump are fantastic dealers who can help you out. $20k range is hard for most mortals but once you cross it and get the Panda I confident that you will not even think of the $20k once that bad boy is on your wrist!

That is a gorgeous watch. This Panda is getting a lot more of my attention now too.....

Maybe seller will take a little less than $20k? Doesn't hurt to offer....

Good luck,

With all my searching I came across this watch. I'm very conflicted on which one to get. I like the buttons on this one better but the panda is just awesome.

The 44mm ROO is amazing. Had the chance to see it in person at an AD over the weekend. The ceramic bezel is one of the best I've ever seen, and also like that it has a display back, and the dial is just so nice. Just not sure about the tang buckle as I like the deployant better.

But it's also quite a bit more than the 42mm Panda though in terms of price.

Cheers,
James
