Anyone else feel the Casio G-Shock

has been ghettofied? Being born and growing up in the 80s-90's the casio brings me good memories but I feel as if it has been taken over by a lot of ghetto type of people. What gives?

I disagree. Sure you have G-Shocks as fashion icons now but most are put to their intended uses in the military, outdoor sports, etc.

Ibtl!

Some people...!

I guess that's the downside of the internet and the anonymity it provides.

PS- Wearing my g-shock as I type! It's usually on my wrist all weekend.

I don't care if it's Wearing by some ghetto type people. It's about freedom of wearing it. I still love wearing my gshock for running or swimming at the gym and having no worries about scratching it.

I've got one....mow the yard, wash the car, clean out the garage...you can beat the heck out of it and it keeps right on going.

Maybe the real question is: Why wouldn't you own one? Especially for those type of activities. :)

I've not kept up with the latest or blinged out models. Do depend on mine though. Along w/ the atomic clock iPhone app, I use it to calibrate my mech herd.

Don't even remember how long I've had it. But, it'll always be around.

My Rolex AD actually got them in a few months ago
I was pretty shocked as they are very upscale anyway
I bought one as I thought it looked good and thought
it would be fun to wear on occasion... It NEVER gets
worn! I just really like wearing an automatic watch...
