Interesting....Case gasket buldge question
Hey everyone. I was just cleaning my wifes datejust 6817. When I bought this watch form The Dallas Gold and Silver Exchange they opened the case and changed the dial from silver to white. I just now noticed the case gasket buldging out. I know they pressure checked it and it has a 2 year warranty. Should I worry or leave it alone.

I'd take it back...
Any exposed gasket material is going to deteriorate quickly. I have several and no gasket shows at all.. But what do I do about this bulge????

I have never notice a buldging gasket either. Back it goes on Monday.

I would say that the gasket was very dry when the case back was screwed on and the case has spun the gasket out. Simple fix but needs to be fixed ASAP.

Buldging's a common problem:
  DUCK, guys! QUICK! The watch is gonna EXPLODE any minute now! Some guy thought it has a Helium Vent and took the watch down to 1,220 metres in a diving bell filled with various gasses including a high percentage of Helium and then decompressed

I called the dealer and spoke to my sales associate and she agreed, ewwww no bring that thing in and we'll get it fixed right away while your wife waits Sir.

Lisa took the watch back to DGSE and they changed the gasket and re-pressure tested her timepiece in about 30 minutes. All better now....
