A majority of the new watches are full of bling. I think the rainbow Daytona has to be put into the category of a serious mistake. Why are so many of the new watches sporting diamonds and other precious stones. Hideous if you ask me.

What a huge disappointment this year.

Yeah the blinged-out Daytona, Datejust and Day-Date models are over the top IMO.

Precious stones are cheaper than precious metals these days. It's common sense that the market of luxury items would shift in that direction. More profitability.

Yeah but you have to make a watch someone would actually buy in the first place otherwise there is no profit.

I like the rainbow one for some stupid reason, heck even Tony sold the submariner with an aftermarket diamond bezel. I was suprised to see that go so fast.

My uncle is gay and I just sent him a link to the new Daytona saying the same thing. He said most of his gay friends have too much style to be caught in something so ugly!

No I know they aren't new I am just amazed that they keep coming up with uglier designs.

rolex is very good at what they do, even when they focus their "goodness" at things that are very bad.

the question is, when does one reach the breaking point when one decides that, even if one loves their particular rolex, the extra "noise" of the bling-tastic rolex watches just takes too much away from the rolex-owning experience.
