How long for a service?
Unfortunately my Skyracer Raven had to be sent in for service, a long and unpleasant story... (I will follow up in a later post in this thread)
I was told they were going to do a full service. Any idea how long that will take? I was informed it was sent to Breitling service someplace in eastern U.S. last week. Should I be looking at 6 weeks? Thanks!

8 weeks.... ugh... not happy...
I didn't realize how much I liked my Skyracer until it was gone.

So here is what happened:
As i posted hear back in January... I picked up my Skyracer Raven at the Annual Ben Bridge Time and Again used watch sale. They stated it was freshly serviced and verified it was all correct, it also came with a 2-year warranty from Ben Bridge. Well fast forward a couple of weeks and I notice it is running ~10 seconds a day fast. not that I am super picky but considering it was supposed to be "freshly serviced" and a COSC watch this was not within specs, along with this a pin in the band was working its way out. I called and they said bring it in to our watchmaker. I brought it back to Ben Bridge, the local watchmaker says "I can't work on a Breitling, we will have to send it to Ben Bridge corporate watchmakers" a week later it gets there and they say "We can't work on Breitling here, it has to go direct to Breitling" so a week later they ship it off... (mind you I had to do all of the calling and following up) Now I have to ask if none of their watchmakers will open a Breitling who at Ben Bridge checked out this watch and did the service... a question they have yet to be able to answer. After this I will *never* set foot in a Ben Bridge again, what a mess, I have been lied to, promised all kinds of things (none of which has been delivered). I feel so dirty and used. I am so very happy I didn't use them as my Rolex AD. The only good part is that I will have a freshly factory serviced watch once this is over, but it is looking like I will be without it for 10 or 11 weeks... Next time I will be purchasing from trusted sellers here. Live and learn.

They obviously misrepresented their claims regarding the inspection and prior service of the watch.
Was the price at least good? |

At least I felt good about the price, there were not many out there to compare it to. But perhaps it will be worth more with an official factory service under its belt. I have no idea how old it is, so it may be time. I wonder if I can charge them rental fees for using it for the 11 weeks I think $50 a day would cover it (at least that would break me even)
