116234!?
I need some opinions people, I went to my local A.D today to see if they had any SubC LV's in stock for me to check out but they didn't...
So I was having a chat with the sales guy and I thought hmm I've not tried on a 36mm datejust for at least a year so I proceeded to try on the 116234 white dial with Roman numerals (I'm normally a baton guy) and well.... WOW I'm possibly thinking about forgetting the SubC LV and maybe going for a nice classic datejust to compliment my GMTiic. Anyone feel it would be a nice duo or that I'd be better of with the hulk? Give me some thoughts! Ryan |

If you don't have a dress watch, I vote for the DJ.

Tough decision, I have both and love them both, however, I give the slight edge to the DJ since it's the timepiece I wear 90% of the time to work...

I'd consider the fluted white Roman DJ (either oyster or jubilee) as a nice change from your GMT2C... and forgo the SubC LV.anyway.

Any time a question is posed on the forum asking about the Hulk vs XXX, my answer is ALWAYS the Hulk:) She is my favorite, although her big sister DSSD is definitely giving her a run for the money this weekend!

Between a Subc LV vs a DJ, I'd choose a DJ to compliment the GMTIIC

I had a 116234 with a white dial and traded it for a GMT II 16710.

Also judging by your reaction to it, it's the right one to you. I really liked the Hulk in pictures but was really unimpressed when I saw it in the AD. I was actually borderline upset after seeing the Hulk in person. |

Both are great pieces but I find myself recommending the sub LV whenever it is compared to any watch in its range!!

Here's some of the pictures from my first date with the DateJust in quite some time.
I think I pull off the 36mm size quite well with my small wrist |

DJ is a better fit with the GMTII C. I love the hulk but IMHO the DJ gives more variety.

The great Combo, tends to be the two watches you like the most. There's no right or no wrong answer.
