M Serial Sub LV

Well, it started off like every other visit to my AD with me knowing what I was going for.

The plan was to buy a new Explorer II White face, but that all changed when I got there.

I was having a nice coffee & chat with him when he mentioned that he had just had a new delivery in this morning.

I wasn't too interested as I knew what I had come for but when he showed me the green sub, I was sold!

Here I am sat at home wearing the sub instead of an explorer & I think I made the right choice.

A new Green sub on an M at 15% off MRSP!!!

Just can't stop buying nice watches!

Dan

Congratulations! An excellent choice.

How ironic that I was just talking to a fellow TRF-er about this very choice, the Sub LV vs the white Exp II.

The Sub LV seems to be a love it or hate it watch on this forum for some reason, very little middle ground.

I love the green, the maxi dial and the Sub shape.

Great choice!

Best,

Chris

Congrats on getting this time-piece. It is very nice-looking. I was looking at it while I was down at RDV in Toronto a few weeks ago, getting my SD. The green is very distinctive and classic when seen on the wrist.

Good luck with your decision, Chris ...

I think the LV is great because:

Sub lineage, weight, proportion and bracelet;
Maxi Dial;
Unique green bezel with deep colour saturation.

And I don't think it will be in production after Basel 2008. I really don't. 2008 will make 5 years, and for an anniversary piece, five years past the date of commemoration is a bit long in the tooth........

We'll see.

Edging closer and closer to the abyss! Need a push or are you going to jump willingly?!!

Chris, I really think that you should get the LV, mate. Like we were discussing early today, you'll probably regret it otherwise.

My AD, who I've know for years & regularly beats me at golf, told me after I'd paid for my LV today that his Rolex rep had been in to see him on Thursday & told him the LV would not be in production this time next year.

True or not, I have no reason not to believe him!

Dan,
Way to go I totally agree with your choice, the Exp. II is a nice Rolex, but the LV Sub takes first chair to an Exp. II anyday IMHO.

Welcome to the LV club. I first of all I love the Submariner look and can't resist their smiles. In fact, I truly love them because I have 3, including the LV.

The Green bezel with the black face is super looking. I think you made a great choice at terrific price too.

Congrats Dan...yet another member to Club LV.

Maybe that green bezel is more popular than people think.

15% off!!!!! MY AD wouldn't budge on my Z series only a week or so ago.

Well done!

Just curious, what is MRSP on it now. When I got mine last February, MRSP was $5525. Has that figure held?
