Gold Fever!
Hi all -
So I love my DSSD, but I'm finding it a bit big for everyday use. After a full day my wrist hurts and I find myself wanting to take it off during the day. I've always wanted a gold or two tone watch, but never had the funds to purchase one. I have an opportunity to purchase an 116613LN from a trusted seller here on TRF. I was also eyeballing an 116610 BNIB. I'm so confused I and I don't know what to do. Need your opinions please. |

I have a DSSD and kinda went the same route. Personally i think TT is a great choice to go with the DSSD. I have a SubC and want more variety. I mean they truly look pretty much the same. 99.9% wont notice the difference. My fiancé still doesn't under stand why I have both. Have you looked at a bluesy or the TT GMTIIc? I would stay with the new models but a 16610 is a great choice too. I think the TT changes it up more and you would be happier with it. IMHO you will find either of those very comfortable but I couldn't go from a DSSD to a model with the older clasp.

I am planning on purchasing a 116613LN this fall. It will be my first. I think it is a great watch. I haven't seen to many around, but I am 100% sure.

It's really up to you. In the current models I prefer an all gold or an all stainless steel model. The all stainless steel SubC is a great watch to wear.
I prefer to the 16618 to the 116618 just because of the finish and deep blue colour of the dial. At the end of the day it really is a matter of personal preference. I also prefer the 16613 to the 116613 for the same reason I prefer the 16618.

If your looking for something a bit lighter, it might be best to stay away from all gold.
At the end of the day it really depends what you perfer. I would recomend a visit to an AD to check some of these models out in person even if you decide to buy from TRF.

Just a quick note. The DSSD will be going away to make funds available for this next purchase/trade. Sorry if I wasn't clear.

A 116618 or 116619 Gold Submariner is heavier than the DSSD, so you better shoot for TT if you want to shave weight.
