Only one: strap or bracelet?

If you could only choose one and use it forever on your Rolexes, which would it be? I'm leaning back towards bracelet land after 2 weeks..

Bracelet...I love straps, but they simply don't stand up to water use like a metal bracelet. And on a highly water resistant watch like a Rolex Oyster, it becomes a handicap to realizing the versatility of the platform.

A dedicated dress watch? Diff'rent story entirely.

many watches i once played with, all look nicer out of the standard bracelet.

rolex seems different - she looks best on whatever the bracelet she came in.

Compare this :

to this :

seems the oyster looks better (yup I know one is a 14060 and the other is 16660) imo.

again, to each his own :)

I would never consider taking the bracelet off my EXP II . Straps are fine on other watches, but my Rolex looks/feels best on the bracelet. Cheers, Bill P.

IMO, for a sport watch (any oyster case Rolex), you have to have a bracelet. So, if we're talking one choice, it's jubilee for me. I like straps and have a pile.

Bracelet.

Don't have to worry about getting it wet, wears much better in the summer, and it's much easier to clean.

I love, strike that, need options. However, if I only had one option it would be the Oyster bracelet.

no straps? really?

sidetracked: if i put my 78360(well used) on my 14060m, is it against Rolex rules? I wanna preserve the pristine 93150...

I get my straps made for me at ABP in Paris and much prefer straps on vintage Subs since the 9315 and 93150 bracelets are pretty flimsy and not particularly good quality IMO. But the newer bracelets on my GMTIIc and the glidelock on my ceramic Sub are a different league in terms of quality.

But if I had to choose just one it would be a bracelet for all round everyday use, showering, swimming and sports etc.

When the black bay comes out I'll be hitting it up for the bracelet- even though I like the vintage leather strap alot- because Rolexes are just so... cool on a bracelet!
