Which one did I go for SD, DJ, EXP2?

Hi All,

Thanks for everyone who replied to my previous thread asking for opinions on my first rolex. I was torn between the sub date, explorer 2 or datejust......

After visiting a few more AD's I decided on...........

GMT Master 2! I know a couple members here mentioned I should add that to my short list and in the end it was a close call between the Sdate and the GMT. Personally for me, although I would have liked both, I prefer the GMT function which I would likely make more use of for travel. It wasn't an easy decision!

I absolutely love it and the pic is the watch on my way back from the shop, sorry for the poor resolution as it was taken using a camera phone. Highlights are the ceramic dial and the new clasp is superb. What a quality product overall.

Thanks for everyones help here, I'm sure I'm starting to get the rolex bug

Very nice and great choice. It's damned hard to work out which model speaks to you most first time, eh?

The watch fits like a glove, it's just me holding the steering wheel Also impressed that there's the comfort adjustment for "hot and sunny" days the AD was telling me.

Take your time with the AD, I spent nearly 3 hours coming to a final decision, that's before visiting other AD's and trying other watches. A good AD will look after you, and not rush your decision. Good luck with your watch hunting, as someone else said on this forum, searching is part of the fun!

Here's a quick snap of the watch this morning (I still need to work on my pic taking), I'm so happy with it!
