I've seen pic s of the difference but why the difference. Are some not certified? And whats the cost difference? Any other good info on these?

The ND Sub only got certified a few years back. The movements were the same but Rolex didn't spend the extra $$$ to get COSC. The latest 14060s have the newest movement with the parachrome blue spring or whatever but IMHO it's a marketing ploy with very little true improvement. I'm sure others will chime in with more info but I'm limited on my ND Sub knowledge.

4 line is

Same capability - any good watchsmith can regulate either to the same accuracy.

Condition would affect price more than the COSC rating IMHO

Slightly different in regards to aesthetics mostly when it comes down to it.

Actually, there was a time way back when, if I'm not mistaken, when Submariners (that being the correct name of the so-called No-Date Sub) were certified and had four lines, then for some reason Rolex stopped having them certified and removed the "superlative chronograph" text.

I'm sure there are those here who can verify this, as I've seen pictures of the old four-line models.

I have a randomly identified 14060M with the four lines and the engraved rehaut.

I like both the two-line and the four-line models, but I have come to like mine best of all.
