5513 submariner with chronometer movement

Has anybody ever heard of a 5513 with a chronometer grade movement?
Thought the 5513 never came like that, only the 5512?

Found in a database a verified 5513 SS, 1570 movement chronometer, serial 128XXXXXX, back case III 65, between lugs "registered design 5513".
To make it even stranger (to me ) it had no crown guards, a sub from 65 should have those no?

I know there are 5512 - 5513 which state the other version on the case back but everything says it's a 5513.

Oh yeah cannot provide pictures, only details are written.

As far as I know only the 5512 came with COSC, not the 5513.

Yep, thing is, it was verified by people as being a genuine Rolex all the way but were surprised as well it seems that this one existed.
Should it not have pointed guards as well?
Dial was repainted, if done with the original dial as an example ... gilt.

I've heard of 5513s with a 1570 movement. Rolex could certainly have used whatever was on hand at the time. 1965 would also put in well in the range of a gilt dial, but might be a bit late for an enclosed minute ring.
No crown guards is very strange. Any chance they might have been altered?

Found it on forum54 database, came from an Ebay auction but seeing that they put it in the database I would expect they did research on it.

Yep VRF, serial number project, that's why I could not provide pictures.
You did a search on the serial project page? Scrolling to year 65 probably easiest way.

I gotcha! I was in the dial section. Well, I see that...quite honestly I'm at a loss. VRF is pretty good at checking things out. I'd still like to see a photo.

Yeah, found it strange as well, it sure is ashame that they have no pictures on there, why else mention the source of the examples.
