![]() ![]() So I asked him for pictures of boxes and papers which he claims to have. Do you guys think this is a scam or he just don't know what he has. He also offered 7 days money back with credit card. What do you guys think?? |

I think it is a scam!
"F series" and "Zenith Daytona" don't match! Why? Since "F" is 2003 and the Zenith Daytona was discontinued in 2000! ![]() ![]() Now to the picture: Looks like the real thing, and it sure shows a "Zenith" Daytona 16520 with the cal. 4030 mvt. Hmm! I don't think you will get what you see! Also, note it has TRITIUM markers! Nothing wrong with that, but it would make that 16520 very early! Sorry, but I would ![]() Oh, and btw: an SS Daytona 16520 (even it that scratched condition) for US 6,950 would be "cheap as chips"! 16520ies are going for a lot more money these days!

Well, as you say 'on another forum', he'll probably know the prices so might be fishy yeah.
Dial seems ok for my limited knowledge, bezel and buttons too guys? |

If he is local and wants face to face deal, I would take him to the nearby RSC to verify its authenticity. If not I'll run like hell. |

1) Which one of them? Since often it is used in plural: brains
![]() 2) On second thought: No, won't lend it to you if you would use it in your head and bang your head against the wall ![]() When I lend things out, I want them back in the same condition! ![]()

Bo's right. The Zenith 4030 Daytona was discontinued at the end of 2000, replaced by the 116520 with the in-house 4130 movement. The photos you posted are of a Zenith Daytona.

So guy just emailed me back saying he is a online reseller and works for local Rolex company in Boston. And will only take credit card for transaction for safety and will send me the invoice too. I thought it was too good to be true. He also said pictures are limitless, whatever that means. So I think I'll have to run away from this low dirt bag scammer.
Thanks you guys for informative replies and advices. |

When in doubt........,,, know what I mean. Here is my opinion- bear in mind I am selling a BNIB Z SS Daytona. First, the price seems off, and just the questionable feeling many of us are getting would make me run.
I am doing my best to have a good sale on my own deal, and must admit I am bombarded with scammers who wanna steal from me, then tons are great people with honest offers. (Just like fishy people trying to sell junk and scam.) Just dont get taken for a ride. What I am getting at, is kindly ask for up to date pics, and more info before you shell out cash! Usually when you ask to check out the piece in person, like at a local AD, the scammer RUNS!!! LOL Best of luck! clk199 |
