According to "The Global Luxury Survey," by Time Magazine, Fall 2007 Supplemental issue--Rolex leads the most brand recognition. The survey was done in China, India & Russia, due to these countries new found wealth.

Here are the interesting stats:
1. 22% of affluent consumers in China own a Rolex.
2. Rolex, is the "Best-known luxury brand" in China, 76%.
3. Rolex, tops the list of 5 popular watch brands, in China.

In India:
1. Rolex, is 4th in "Best-known luxury brand," 80%.
2. Rolex, is 3rd in "Most often mentioned luxury brands," 34%. Omega is 4th.

Russians seem to be more interested on apparel/clothing. Versace tops the list of "Best-known luxury brands," 95%.

The survey only confims what we have known all along, that Rolex is successful in their marketing/advertising campaign.

You forgot to include the stat that 67% of the Chinese polled wore a fake Rolex.
