The "best" gift

We all talk about the best gifts that we have received here but seriously what is the best gift that you have given to someone??!? Here's my share:

My girlfriend celebrated her birthday with me here in Frisco last March. She's from LA so I prepared really well for it. She plays golf so I made a tee time reservation at TPC Harding Park in the morning for a full round. Then we drove up to Napa Valley for a wine tasting since she loves red wine a lot. Treated her for a 2-hour spa at the River Terrace then brought her to a nice, private dinner at the W Hotel where we stayed for 3 days. Of course she had no idea what she was up to till that day but I made sure that it was THE BEST Birthday she would remember with me (yet!). Oh and by the way, I gave her a Chanel Reissue 227 to top it off!!!! I know that she wanted this purse since since last year so I surprised her with it. I love this girl dearly and I will do anything to make her happy. She’s certainly worth every penny for me. If you’re seriously into someone then money shouldn’t be a concern.

**Now, I am thinking of getting her a cartier seatimer or chanel j12 for our Anniversary but I need to check what she likes first. I'm open to suggestions too. Thanks guys =D

You hardly need any help. You already have great taste. I need to take lessons from you.

Do you give lessons?

He finished his second consecutive Ironman Canada Triathlon within curfew time, beating his first time by over three hours. The broken clavicle was a result of a training accident over the handlebars. The repair job was done after the event, he competed with it broken.

My wife has absolutely no interest in designer anything. She is not materialistic.

That alone would be reason to marry her, notwithstanding all of her other great qualities.

Sounds to me like your setting the bar kind of high for the future ..... !!

Whatever happened to just taking a day off work & going for a nice lunch or a walk along with beach in the afternoon & then dropping off somewhere for something nice to eat/

Just saying .... !!

My thoughts exactly! What will you do for a 25th wedding anniversary?
Well done. I am sure she is worth it.

Mine was when I was a boy. I saved all my lawn-mowing money for a year to buy diamond earrings for mom's Christmas. (Now when I see how small those earring are . . .)

That's awesome. I have a serious amount of respect for anyone who completes an Ironman.

The best gift I can give is to pull a dog out of the local kill shelters and either find it a home or send it to another rescue.....I spent my vacation day on the road for this big guy, sad to say this is the second Rhodesian Ridgeback in the last 2 months.

As for gifts to the husband, he gets what ever he wants, I did kidnap him and take him on vacation a few years ago, he was mad at first and then enjoyed it :)

Don't get me wrong, we have done the simple dates before. I lost this girl 5 years ago and I just got her back that's why I'm splurging right now! hehe She's a really simple girl actually... let's just say that I am making it up to her! :-)

Cute dogs! Also thinking of getting my gf a medium-sized dog, probably a shihtzu. This for sure I know she'll appreciate more than her chanel bag. Thanks for sharing!

The most standout gift I ever gave was a 14 year old pickup truck to my son on his 16th birthday. It took a lot of work and a lot of new parts but it cleaned up pretty well.

Agreed. Man you set the bar really high there. 5-10 years from now when you get her a pair of earrings at the last minute she may be a bit let down.

Advice. Never pick up a woman at the airport. She will always expect it and the day you don't you are in the doghouse.

Along the same lines keep it simple. A nice gift but not a honeymoon-esque weekend. Setting the bar way too high in my humble opinion.

What do I know though. Woman rotate through my life like a Rolex collection. With the exception being my current who is about ready to kick me to the curb.

Took mom to see the Michael Jackson Cirque du soleil for her birthday. She's a big fan and enjoyed it thoroughly. Made me happy to see her happy.
