Nice gilt dial

I like it when the seller takes pictures of each lug, so you can make an informed decision...

Can't really help beyond that, good luck, either way

Ugly mottled dial (I wouldn't want to stare at that one every day) with a suspiciously green tinge to the luminous markings (a relume?).

Also, the bezel insert is too scuffed (for my liking). And there's something odd about it: why does there seem to be a gap between the crystal and the insert and why does the top of the "40" run off the outer edge? In fact, the "20" and "30" run to the outer edge too. Is that a genuine insert, a badly beaten up one?

Looks Ok. I don't love the dial...
I'm not implying anything is non-genuine. I'm simply saying aesthetically it does not sing to me.

That's actually not a bad price considering it's a gilt...

I've never seen one with a sanded black stingray dial before - but the watch has potential. Take your time and send us some pics when you get it in order. Luck.

i think you got it for a fair price, depends on how it looks in the flesh...
didn't participate in the auction after the different remarks here, i'll look further (time is not an issue)

post some pics once you have it ok (so i can regret my decision )

You either love the dial or hate it. I own a 5513 and that dial would drive me crazy, I'd send it to Rolex for a new dial. Its one thing when a dial ages, that one spoiled.

Dial looks relumed, post pics when it arrives. At $3800 though, it's a pretty good price, considering a perfect one will fethc north of $8,500.

If this is the watch, it has a lot of character! Congratulations!

I think if the seller would have posted better pictures, he would have gotten more $$ for it..

Well, be happy w/got you're got buddy

considering the price you've paid for it.

I've got a perfect gilt dial 5513 with tropical insert, box+ paper, and the bevels to kill for, at $15K want it?

j/k I ain't selling it

You got a deal there buddy, the last time I saw something similar to yours went for $6.5 K by our great Steve M.

You've done good. Congrats
