Explorer 1016 and Datejust 1600
Are the cases of the Datejust and the Explorer of this age the same dimensions?
I just wondered as I saw the 2 side by side and apart from the fluted bezel, they looked pretty much identical. I had always assumed there would be differences in them.

yes, both are 36mm diameter, but 1016 it's a bit thiner, 11.5mm
