The beginning of a beautiful relationship...
During the tenure of my watch collecting I have owned various pieces produced by luxury brands, but I have never owned a Rolex.
I have been looking to change divers due to being repeatedly aggravated by the pure bulk of my Breitling Steelfish, but I decided that neither the SD nor DSSD would be suitable for my needs as they present the same problem. These watches simply won't fit beneath my cuffs without moderation to shirts and they feel like miniature tanks on my wrist, so I knew I'd have to go smaller. I decided to pull the trigger on a D-Series Submariner date last week and I couldn't be happier with the decision. The watch runs smooth as silk and I never truly appreciated the quality of the product until I had the opportunity to wear one for a prolonged period of time. Though I was originally concerned about the perceived gaudiness of the brand, these concerns have been assuaged as I have been mesmerized by the craftsmanship and simple, clean overall aesthetic appeal of the sub-date. I have a feeling this will be the first of many and I look forward to sharing my future purchases with you! |
