Rolex Fever

In my part of England we have a new cattle disease sweeping through the farms of Suffolk. It's called "blue tongue disease".
Originally came from mainland Europe, and has finally reached us.
Fatal for cows and sheep once they catch it.
I think that the human version, "Rolex Fever" has now reached the forum, originally believed to come from New Zealand and Denmark.
Sufferers sell perfectly good and beautiful new watches at a loss to other forum users, then go out and buy another new watch at full price.
The fever cycle can vary between patients, but usually repeats itself anywhere between 3 months and one year.

Current medical opinion is divided about a cure for Rolex Fever.
The only known partial antidote is to spend several months choosing a watch, then buy it,love it and wear it everyday.
This has been known to slow the fever cycle for as long as 5 years.

I agree. Tom's got it bad. I keep offering to take a couple of watches off his hands, so to speak, and for his own good of course, but so far he's refused.

I really worry about that guy.

Only one way to cure Rolex Fever. Buy an Omega, UN, VC, Panerai, Kobald or IWC watch. Do not wear your Rolex for three weeks. Do not visit any Rolex ADs for three weeks. Do not view and participate in any Rolex related Forums for three weeks. For Three weeks spend countless hours on non-Rolex related Forums, read books on non-Rolex watches. After three weeks you will be cured of Rolex Fever!!!!! ( or you will still have Rolex Fever, and also be much poorer due to all the other fine Watches from other manufactures you have bought!!!! LOL)

In reality, the Rolex fever came FROM Sweden and went over Denmark, soon to be spread out into the rest of the world, even to far away places like New Zeeland and Bombay. The fever is called "mania rolexia jockeae".
