I searched for an existing NFL thread. Found none. Surprising. If I erred in my search and mistakingly created a redundant one, pardon me.

That said, GO COWBOYS!

Who is your team?

Tennessee Titans. I lived in Nashville during their Super Bowl season and have been a fan ever since.

Oh no the enemy (Giants & Steelers fans) are here!!!! ;)
At least no Eagles fans yet..
I love baseball (Dodgers) & hockey (Stars), too, but the NFL is my favorite. Hopefully as news unfolds around the league and once the season finally gets under way we can have an ongoing conversation here.

I'm cautiously optimistic about Dallas, but that's burned me a lot in recent seasons UGH - at least they're FINALLY addressing that pathetic defense and look to have acquired some dudes that can tackle, move faster than slugs and most of all GET TURNOVERS. About time.

Have the Giants gotten a SB ring to Terrence Newman yet? If not for that guy, no playoffs for NYG. I will have nightmares for life from both debacles last season. Pathetic.

I loathe NYG with all I've got, but I'll give Eli credit. It just pained me to type that.

The Vikings... which consistently will break a guys heart year in and out!

With AP blowing out his knee end of last season and with Ponder at QB, I am having a hard time believing they will win 4-5 games this season.

They really are the most well-run team, for my money the most well-run team in all of sports right along with the Detroit Red Wings.

As a Cowboys/Dodgers/Dallas Stars fan, I can appreciate an organization that knows what they're doing as my teams have been so chaotic in the recent past. Ugh.

I root for the Pats in the AFC. Love it when you guys wipe the floor with the Jets & Steelers!

Hahahahahahaha! You have no idea how funny that was for me to read! I've been saying this since day 1 although Eli is a renegade QB you must respect his game! It will be an interesting year, especially with some key guys the Giants lost!

being a Canadian ... whatever in vogue that season :)
well, not really ... my brother in law loves the Steelers ...

I like them, too - they have character, personality, history (Steel curtain, Bradshaw)

I'm usually partial to defensive team ... 1990 Giants, 2000 Ravens, 2002 Buccaneers

but it mostly depends on the personnel ... I was a big Tony Dungy fan, so the Colts were my favorite (plus Peyton could cut through a defense like a skilled surgeon)

Packers. When I was a kid, met all the '60's greats, including Lombardi. Grew up in the area.

Congrats to the Giants of 2007 and 2011. They richly deserved both wins over GB (thought I should just get that out of the way).

I better shut up about Super Bowls now, as Steelersfan65 is a mod, and I don't want to get booted off of TRF!

(And congrats to all Vikings fans for finally getting your state of the art stadium in MN!!).
