Manual wind
Hi guys, in general how often do you need to wind the vintage Rolex watches?
When I eventually get mine (likely to be a 1965 precision) I'll be using it on a daily basis so guessing it'll have to be wound every 24hrs? Sorry for this question, very new to all of this and hoping a manual wind won't get on my nerves! Jon |

I would imagine most people get into a routine and wind the watch at the same time everyday. I remember my grandfather winding his watch every morning over breakfast while watching the morning news

Remember too an auto also needs winding as wearing them is not enough to keep them fully wound for a lot of people, a modern auto Rolex will still be manually wound, some people will wind their watch 1-2 times a week and also resetting them if stopped, so don't go thinking your manual wind watch any less of a watch, I prefer them, least you know exactly how long they will run for, with an auto I am forever wondering if it is about to stop if I have not been too active working at a desk. |

Interesting, thanks.
Well, I've asked Mike Wood to hold a 1965 Precision until Monday when I can phone the shop and make payment! It's on his site, second to last watch in his stock list! |
