often seen in the wild, when touring throuh the great nursing homes of florida, you will see the elderly who do not move enough in a day to stir their perpetual rotors, Darwinian law has had their rolex perpetual, evolve into the oysterquartz.
as first seen on national georgraphic.

So shouldn't we all start buying one before it's to late . . . ;-)

Before we don't move anymore . . .

So that's why Rolex made a quartz . . . aha. . .

Clever guys ;-)

The most comfortable, soild feeling Rolex I ever owned, and I got more comment from ladies with it than any other, but the ticking drove me nuts. I liked it so much, I almost tried to franken-watch it with a datejust movement, but decided to start saving for a 1530 instead. If you can deal with the ticking, buy it.

A great watch that can be purchased for about $2000 if you are patient. Change the battery every two-three years and you will have a timepiece that will loose less than thirty seconds per year. I think eventually these will appreciate as they are unique looking and half the price of other used Rolex models. If you like the look and want an automatic consider the 1530 or 1630.

i like the movements. they say 7 rubies or something like this. Why even say it when its such an insignificant amount? maybe they had to for other reasons.

i owned a rolex with that integrated bracelet. just ensure its in good shape. its hard to locate links and other bracelet parts.

this was a h... of a nursing home. the Oysterquartz was the first Rolex with a sapphire crystal, & still has the most comfortable bracelet Rolex ever made.

BTW, mine says hi.
