Jewels on a GMT

Just curious, how does one use the bezel on a GMT that has jewels, since there are not the 24 marks in numbers?

Good question......

Although I don't think people that would wear this would be thinking that much about the mechanics of how it works......

Well I would wear one of those monstrosities and I would make sure it tells the time.

Having said that, I'll have to admit that the GMT function is perhaps not used that much on such a model, one can always use it and remember which diamond marker means this or that number but I think a full gold regular GMT would probably be more useful in this rather blingy category. Still, I think it's quite a beautiful watch.

You don't, use the GMT hand as a compass to steer you towards a PP,AP or JLC and flip it!

You can still use the bezel, since there are 12 diamond markers on it. You simply designate the triangular one as 24 and then the others as 2, 4, 6, 8, etc.

Well if it's that easy to solve, let's work on measuring Units per Hour on this one!

Why else would you wear one? It's really not that difficult to use the bezel. It's a pretty cool Pepsi!

It does tell the time and you can still do that 'compass thing' with it.

Certainly makes a statement.

This one is easy. If the sweep hand stops in the red/orange zone you are going really fast and the more blue, purple you get the slower you are going. Hah think of it as a mood ring for a race car driver.

That's priceless!

You can also use it to calculate the time it takes for your coffee to get cold enough to be drank...

Thanks Carl, yes it's really mine; bought it on a whim and I really do like it on my wrist. I am NOT a "bling" guy by nature but I fell in love with this GMT when I slipped it on. It is better received other places than TRF!

Well in this case you should show it to me more often, I'll admire it like it deserves to be admired!

I actually like all of these watches - including the rainbow Daytona. It keeps the world a little more interesting.
