Sugar Bowl Fans/Historians Out There?

Hello--

So I'm bitten by a "new" Rolex bug and just made arrangements to purchase a 1967 Cotton Bowl Air King--always liked the dials and history they represent but surprised at how little info I can find save the occasional posting here and there--can anyone expand upon (or correct) the following:

Several watch brands have been used (have seen Hamilton, Tudor, Rolex, Omega etc)
They were provided to both teams, players and staff etc
Rolex was used until about the mid-70s

The big questions I have are:

Approximately how many were produced for each game (both teams, staff, admin folks, etc)? Between two teams, I'm guessing +/- 300?
Who designed and "printed" the dials (Rolex, local/select ADs, etc)? Is there are list to cross-reference?

Thanks,
Paul

From what I gather the Sugar Bowl gave Omega's and weren't nearly as prevalent as the Cotton Bowl's watches. But now I've got to find a 1970 Cotton Bowl for my GF's dad who is a big Texas fan.

I think Richard Carver over att VRF is a Cotton Bowl nut If i remember correctly he has several Cotton Rolex/Tudor watches and a lot of knowledge. Just use the search function and type "cotton" and you will find many threads on the subject.

A 1991 Cotton Bowl watch would be great.

Maimi 46 at Texas 3.

and Miami also held the record for penlties given and yards form penlties 16 flags and 202 yards given to Texas. I am sure Texas fans will never forget the day the Hurricane blew threw the Cotton Bowl
