What THIS pin for?!
Hmm?
I wonder: What is THIS pin for?? It has nothing to do with the "Easy Extension" link, but as far as I can figure out, only the ENDS of this pin act as a way to make the fold-over security clasp (the one with the Rolex coronet on it) stay put, since the ends of the pin extend slightly at both side of the clasp.

Thought that's exactly what it was for - the fold-over clasp. I guess you're question is why is it a pin going through the whole clasp? My guess is b/c it was the only way they could figure out how to make it springy. Maybe they didnt want the ends of the pin to be rigid to prolong the life of the 'snap' that the clasp makes? just a guess.

this is probably the ONE and ONLY time I'll ever be able to actually answer something that Bo asks and not vice versa!

I think that pin is redundant. Take it out and chuck it in the nearest bin!!
