Blue dial choices

Hello troops, I've been considering a blue dial choice. In looking at the Kobold Polar Surveyor or Soarway Diver (Arctic blue dial) or the Sinn Arktis, I've seen some extraordinary shimmering-blue dials.

Looking at the TT blue sub, is the blue of that dial monochrome or are there variations of blue that are best seen when outdoors (I've only seen the Blue in the ADs)?

Seeing a previous post about the blue aspect of the dial recently got me thinking.

Appreciate your input(s) on the blue as it looks in the sun/outdoors etc.

Best,

Chris

Hi, Chris,

as of lately, apparantly the blue of the TT Blue Sub has been changed from the nice dark blue to a more "baby blue" colour.

I have not yet seen the difference of the two blue colours in person, but if you can get one of the DARK blue ones, you would get yourself one stunningly beautiful timepiece that you would never get tired of looking at.

I guess you should be looking for a early Z-series Blue Sub to get the dark blue since the latest Z-series have been reported to have the lighter coloured blue hue.

Solar, the Blue Sub is anything BUT monochromatic. You need to see one in natural sunlight! Depending on the angle and intensity of the light, it'll go from bright electric blue to black. You haven't seen a Blue Sub until you've seen it outside...

I don't know about the Blue sub dial, but the blue dials on the platinum watches are AMAZING! I wish they would carry those dials over into their steel watches.

Thanks Craig. This is the sort of feedback I'm looking for. I know that my GMT Pepsi bezel seems to show several shades of both red and blue depending on the lighting. One of the TRFers here even said that the white of the Exp II dial is a rich, saturated colour that has complexity in the sun that you would not expect. So, I ask Bluesy owners across the board to let me know how they like (or don't like) their blue Sub.......

Best,

Chris

The Blue on theTT sub is majestic, and the effect that the light has on it is stunning. It's an awsome looking watch. Here's mine.
