SubC versus TT blue SubC
Ive been considering flipping my newer SubC for a new TT blue SubC. My AD buddy ordered one for me to check out. It came in but I haven't had a chance to see on in the flesh. I'm sure I'll love it.
Would you guys sell your SubC to partially fund a blue TT? |

Unless I was actually going to use the Sub, yes, I would rather have the TT. Tough decision though.

Yes. It would be my daily wearer. I would time decompression times of food on my big Green Egg, parking meters, throwing a ball for my lab, my kids reading and guitars practice, etc. so yes it would be used

They're both really awesome. I think it comes down to personality/preference. I'm more of a ss guy, so no I wouldn't (although I have a 16610).

The TT blue dial is awesome. But way too flashy for me as a daily. For me it would only for special occasions.
I say get it if you can see yourself wearing it as a daily.

Id do TT any day of the week. I like a watch that can be dressed up significantly and worn casually. You cant do that with a SS watch as well IMO. I love the sub c tt diamonf dial. The date wheel is surronded by a gold square too!

I like SS for everyday wear.
If you don't mind the easily marked up gold center links then go for it.
The TT blue is an amazing look. |

I own both and when I was still wearing the TT (before I decided to list it for sale), the all stainless steel got much more wrist time. I love the TT blue SubC, but buying it opened a can of worms in that it has made me want both the white gold and full yellow gold blue ceramic Subs.

Everybody knows its all personal preference but I am sure that is not the answer this gentleman is looking for. Unfortunately, these questions are hard to answer unless you know a good amount about the OP.

Long story, boring: my first Rolex was a TT blue sub which I purchased for myself as a graduation present 23 years ago. 5 years later , my wife purchased me a stainless sub as a wedding gift.
I have never received a single "compliment" on the stainless. Conversely, each time I wear the TT, I always receive at least one and usually more than one compliment on the watch. Lesson of the story: the average person is more impressed by the TT. Context: I've lived in NYC my entire existence. |
