my first, rolex 1500 date.
Hi TRF !
am new here and im looking for more info about this 1970's Rolex OP Date that im about to get! it's dated 1973 according to the seller and i want to find out if it's authentic! here's some photos of it, hope the veterans here could help me verify it's authenticity ! Cheers~ |

All looks ok apart from the case back with is from a 1969 1501 which is a different watch and the barcelet is not original to the watch.

The case back was manufactured in 1969 but was probably original to the watch. If you're into the OP Dates, AKs etc you quickly realize Rolex used whatever they had in the parts bin. It's not uncommon at all to see mix-matched case backs.

just wanted to know if it's all legit, im not particular about the case back being different, as long as it's all authentic ! anyway, i think i'll be grabbing this lovely Date, cant wait to get em in hands! Will post some images once i get it! cheers! |
