Icon14 First impressions: 114060 Sub No-Date

We received our first example of this new piece, and while I was initially skeptical of the non-date version after taking a close look and trying it on, it's grown on me.

It feels really good on the wrist. I'm 6ft, 200lbs and it looks perfectly sized for me. The whole look is very clean, and it feels lighter than I expected. Compared side by side with the previous version, there's a big improvement in visibility of the dial, both in light and dark conditions. The Chromalight is beautiful, and bright enough that going when going into a less brightly lit portion of the store, the blue appears. Stunning!

The Glidelock is just a simple to use and secure as on the 116610, the bezel rotates solidly, with very distinct clicks. If I didn't need a date on my daily wear watch, this would be a very strong contender.

Thank you for that mini review, it's quite interesting to read different opinions here and there.

Is there any way for you to post pictures?

Is it the same as the new SubDateC but no date?

Can't wait to see it on my wrist. I've seen so many people say that they hate the new watch because it is such a break from tradition and then switch to speak of how great the new one is once seeing it in person.

If I wanted the black bezel and dial, I'd be VERY tempted to get the new ND over the SubC date. Such a clean presentation.

I'll take some pics on Saturday when I'm back in the store, and post them that evening on the thread.

Yeah... New ND Sub has me locked as well. It really does look good. This and the new Exp II 42mm really has my attention.
