Birthday present to myself

In about 2 hours I will be 45 years young. Never been happier. I wanted to wait until tomorrow to buy me a present but you know how it goes, anything can happen! So I pulled the trigger today.

I have been trying since November of last year. Honest! You can see my searches on other forums. The buyer for this one backed out and I was right there with a truckload of nickels.

Thanks Tools, can I have a sip out of your martini glass? Most folks put olives or cherries in theirs, not Rolexes.

I consider it kind of rude to ask someone what they paid for a watch or anything for that matter although many do it here so I'm not sure if it is an accepted practice with fellow WIS's but I am very curious what price range they are going for at this point.

Yes for some reason in our culture we do not talk about what we earn, yet in Japan asking a person what they make a year is perfectly fine. As I work for the government my pay is even publicized, and my tax records are viewed for my security clearance. Anyway the watch was advertised elsewhere and I have seen them sell for over $2200 and a few are still for sale at $2800. So somewhere in the middle.
