I'm going to buy a Panerai
Hello .. And finally decided to buy to buy a Panerai watch but my budget is not high so I decided to start with a LUMINOR BASE LOGO 00000 or a LUMINOR MARINA LOGO 00005. What I like and can not change is that it has to have a white face and brown leather bracelet. I do not know if these models are made so the majority are black and if not could you guys tell me which model have the dial and the bracelet both together to my taste and the model with the lowest price.
As saying about 40 or 44 mm? And the steel case matte or glossy? The automatic and manual has the same accuracy? Thanks guys... having a nice week.. |

maybe a 113 or 114 (both 44mm) or 49 (40mm) could check the boxes for you? you can pick up brown straps later or ask the AD to swap the standard black for an equivalent brown (or even ask for a brown strap to sweeten the deal, since discounts are not very common from ADs/boutiques).

Cru said it right ![]() I would add that unless your wrist is very small, stick with 44 mm as this is a much more popular size for Panerai and therefore holds value better and is easier to resell. Of course if you are buying to keep forever then this is a non-issue. Also, think about whether you want automatic (with a date) or manual wind (usually without date). Some models have display (transparent) casebacks, others are solid. Some have a quick-change strap system, others require a screwdriver. Luminor 'Base' models are manual wind and have no seconds hand, just hours and minutes. 'Marina' models have seconds and can be either automatic or manual. The majority of Panerais are on straps, but the bracelets are nice and the two can be interchanged In short, plenty to think about so take your time and ask lots of questions ![]()

If you are going to get a Panerai, I needs to be 44mm, 40 just doesnt have the same presence. Winner 44!
Between Manual and Automatic - Since you are going 44, that removes the 49, so Manual wind it is. I also like manual winds on this matter as well because its a pleasure to take care of while at the same time is easy to set in a rotation of watches due to the lack of date. Base or Marina - For the white dial, its up to you. You really cannot go wrong with either. If it was me I would choose the base. Enjoy your hunting!!! PS - Used white dials are on the most cheaper than their black dialed counterparts. |

Zeros & Fivers are the star of base Pam's.
Good luck. Khalid

Get the 005. The sandwich dial is awesome. The 112 with the exhibition back is worth the extra $ too.

000 for me. I find the dial balanced whereas the 005 with the added logo looks just a tab cluttered. However, if you are one that cannot live with the seconds hand, then 005.
I don't really like the white faced PAMs...
