Which Aqua Terra?
I am considering buying an Aqua Terra, probably in the smaller 38.5mm size since my wrist is only 6.75". Which one do you like best?

Hi John,
I like the darker dial for the men. As for size, try them both on. Whichever one you get, buy it on the bracelet. If you want to change to a leather strap in the Fall, you have the option of achieving the same look with less expensive aftermarket croc straps and a high quality aftermarket deployant, such as the RHD. Also, keep in mind that the 38.5mm AT takes 19mm straps, so aftermarket straps are a little more difficult to source. Good luck. KAT |

I didn't know the lug-to-lug distance on the 38.5mm AT was 19mm -- thank you KAT!
I did find this thread showing a teak grey dialed AT on a strap. It look great but the Silver/Opaline dial looks fantastic on a brown croc strap too. Tough choice regarding dial color! If pressed, I'd say I prefer the Grey on a bracelet and Silver on a strap. http://forums.watchuseek.com/f20/8500-strap-635186.html John |

This is too much work John, I think you just need to buy my 14060 and call it a day.

At
Wise choice in getting the smaller version with the 6 1/2" wrist. I also have 6 1/2" wrist and bought the larger dark grey on bracelet and believe its too big and now facing selling it even though I love everything about it. Buy it, you wont regret it.

Trevor (karmatp),
You're right. Those photos of your grey Aqua Terra inspired my appreciation for this watch. If you weren't such a good photographer, I might be a 14060M owner by now! I still hear the call from the no-date Sub, however ... "Don't forget me John. I'm not made anymore. You can buy an Aqua Terra anytime." John |

Here is a pic of my first AT 8500 on choc brown OEM croc strap and deployant. It has since gone to a new home, and eventually I replaced it with the silver opaline, which I think works better for me. The grey looks awesome on the brown croc, though.

I'm the original poster of this thread and just realized that the link I provided at the top is to a Black not Grey Dialed Aqua Terra. My apologies! Here are comparison pics of the two watches:
Black Dial http://www.omegawatches.com/gents/se...23110392101001 Teak Grey Dial http://www.omegawatches.com/gents/se...23110392106001 And here's the Opaline Dial on a strap: http://www.omegawatches.com/gents/se...23113392102001 My favorite look is probably the Opaline Dial on a brown strap but since I'll probably buy and wear the watch with a bracelet, I'm leaning toward Teak Grey. Thanks for the input and sorry for the confusion. John |

I prefer the black dial and the strap. But I would buy with bracelet and add a strap later on, as I think that would be the best option.

Get the black dial on bracelet and buy an additional omega leather strap for it as well. Best of both worlds!

I think both the dials are stunning. I chose the Opaline.
