Hello everyone,
Today at work I notice a colleague (who normally wears an IWC chrono) was wearing a different stainless steel watch. I inquired and they replied it was a Rolex to which I was surprised (only one other person wears a Rolex that I know of and its' a Sub). I looked at it and I must say I have never seen anything like it. It was basically looked like a chronograph watch, but had the big second hand constantly moving, and then the subsidiary dials were used as a calender. There was also extra buttons on the outer casing. I am so confused I think it might be a fake, but I don't have the heart or knowledge to break their heart. Subsequently it looks similar to this one I found on the net. ![]() |

Thank you both for you quick answers.
Upon following the link from where the picture is hosted I saw that the site sells replica Rolexs - haha. Now comes a hard part, my colleague who owns this, to I stay with the phrase "ignorance is bliss?" |

They probably had a black 'mote' of dust in the camera lens. I told them to clean the lens, and they have sent me a new pic. I attached the pic ;)

If he is a close friend then discuss it with him. If he is only an acquaintance probably best not to say anything. Just my opinion.

Haha - Folex I thought it was double L.
Mark, your right, it does depend on the relationship you have - just work together so not really in the position to be making comments like that. |

Sorry...
It's unlikely you would be breaking any news to him he doesn't already know. And embarassing or humiliating somebody just for sport is something a gentleman should be unwilling to do. (However, if the guys a jackass, make sure you tell everybody else you know) ![]() |

As this watch is so far away in design from any Rolex that I have seen, I can't believe this guy dosn't know its a fake.

That is half the battle - I thought it was quite strange, Rolex don't do Months or years in their watches.. I think I will leave it as it is with this person, if we get into some sort of discussion about it or it comes up in topic I might mention it otherwise let them do what they want. |

Hey, that watch is fake but Rolex did make a watch very similar to that. Frank Muller remade a Rolex watch with a perpetual calender but thats rare. I am sure the experts will chime in
