Rolex sighting!

I thought I'd tell you about a meal I went for last night & what was round the table!

4 couples, 7 watches & all of the were Rolex

The list was as follows -

SS Daytona Black Face (Mine)
WG Daytona White Face
TT Sub Blue
TT Sub Black
WG Pearlmaster Daimond Bezel
YG Pearlmaster
SS Lady DJ

Through talking to the others, there was only myself that actually had an interest in watches, the others had only bought them " 'cos they are the best" to quote one of them!

We are all meeting up again next month, when I'll be taking my camera with me as I know how you guys all like to see photos

Seems like that would have generated quite a watch conversation. I am surprised it apparently did not. Anyway, you hang out with good company.

Sound like a board meeting at Rolex S.A.

I look forward to seeing the pics from your next meeting

It wasn't the most exciting evening I've ever had!

It was myself, father, accountant & Bank Manager & our partners.

I was more interested in the ADs that they bought from than business

It's amazing how five letters on a watch - just takes over your life !!

From the line-up I suspect your down the southern part of the country?

I'm just trying to assess 'gatecrashing' or even maybe even organising the 'Rolexforums' U.K Annual Dinner'

In our daily meeting at work, we have...

GMT Z series ....mine
a Pepsi GMT
an Explorer 1 with black face
a Submariner
and a ladies Datejust with pink dial

Well, five Rolex in 15 persons is a quite good percentage....

Dan (pnefan) , That is quite a coincidence, I would think, that with all of the timepiece choices in the world today all of these people had Rolexes. Sounds like you have the startings of a private club. You are hanging with good company. gha

Perhaps they only appear common because of the circles we move in?
