Do you like the PAM 312?

I'm enjoying the Panerai 312. One seller told me it is the replacement of 104.
But I he did not sound very convincing.

Nice watch, but I don't think it's 'replacing' anything

The 104 is quite a different watch - dial, case, movement, etc...

I really liked my 312 but ultimately it was a little too similar to my 233.

it was the model that first drew me to panerai, and i like everything about it except how it sits on my wrist. so, i admire it from afar.

as far as a "replacement" for the 104, no, not at all. the two have existed in the catalogue for quite some time now and they are quite different.

The 312 is "safe" model for PAM, it has the looks and the practicality of an auto movmnt. If you dont mind the thickness of it then go for it.

I think it is safe to say that the 312 is Panerai's "staple" automatic watch. 1950's case, in-house movement, sandwich dial, etc. Much better than the 104, IMO.

If you are feeling it, then I say go for it!

Love my 312 but it hasn't seen any wrist time since I picked up the 372.

Definately not a replacement for the 104.
Great watch and packs a lot of great features.

i like the 312, but the 104 is very different, the dial the movement. the date, the case, to be honest ther's nothing in comum.

The 312 is a watch but a little thick and top heavy. Move up to the 233. I like it much better having owned both.

Liked it in the pictures..But when I went to my local AD and tried it it sits very high and feels try thick! I'll give it another chance sometime later though since I like the dial so much..

Nash it's no good!!
I love mine.
It does sit a bit higher, so I can't really wear it with cuffed shirts, so will find an extra watch!

I love the 312 in pictures & other people's wrists. On mine, too bulky and uncomfortable. I did pick up the black OEM gator strap with white stitch for my 233. Looks nice.

I love my 312

It is rather thick and sits high, but I needed an auto and wanted the sandwich dial. At this point, I'm used to the size and weight, and prefer the heft now! :)

It is my absolute fav face on a Panerai and I was sad to let or go for the 233 but the 312 was sadly too thick for me.

Regards.
