Need Help

Need camera to take pictures of watches to post.What kind should i get,don't want to spend a lot???

I'd say more than 90% of the pics on here are taken with people's phones. Although it's not the best option.

You can successfully photograph watches (or anything) without any fancy, high-end camera. Just about anything will work...unless you want to make the cover of Watch Times magazine.

As already mentioned I imagine the majority of photos here are taken with smartphones. If you're after a really crisp and clear shot and if you have an iPhone I know many people here recommend the use of an Olloclip to get very nice macro shots at a fairly cheap price!

Beyond that I leave it to more knowledgable folk to give advice on actual cameras.

This was taken with a Panasonic ZS7, not sure what the current model is



Also, good images are as much lighting as photography, just buying a camera will not get you good images

Great photos are created by the person taking the picture...not the cameras.

I've seen people take amazing photos with disposable cameras...and I've seen the most horrific photos with $10,000 cameras.
