Would you trade your Rolex for a JLC?

Im contemplating whether or not I should trade my polar ex2 plus cash for one of those fancy pants JLC master compressor watches? Any Rolex owner here also own of the JLC master compressor watches? Please talk me out of it!

IMO There's Rolex, and then there's other watch companies.
If I were you, I'd keep the explorer, unless of course you like the JLC better.

I love my polar Exp II, but also have quite a soft side for JLC (especially the Reverso). Is there any way to hold onto the ex2 and make the JLC purchase?

The JLC is larger than the Rolex and that is one of the reasons I got out high end large watches was thar they dont fit under french cuffs or dress shirt sleeves. I guess the only thing good going about JLC IMHO is their exclusive status and super fancy pants complications. Rolex is timeless in their designs and conservative compared to JLC. Also JLC only appeals to certain folks and selling it down the road reasonably it would give me a headache.

I like the Polar EXII. I'm not a fan of the look of JLC watches, for the most part. I would keep it. But if you really like the JLC, then go for it.

Yeah that isn't the best JLC out there. I think I will keep my Rolex. It still brings me much joy when I wear it.

The MC is an awesome watch guys - the dualmatic is one I had as my only "rotation" watch a few weeks ago.

It lasted 3 days, then I bought a bunch of rollies.

Don't do it - youll miss the rolex

I have yet to see ua JLC that keeps time like a Rolex. I also don't like the master compressor line.

Personally wouldn't for this model. But for me a nice reverso may just tempt me.

Depends on how much cash I would have to throw in?
That model in not as nice as the Quantieme Lunaire Duometer that ken the MOD bought a few days ago, but it's not bad.

How much do you love your Exp II?

Don't do it!

The polar exp 2 is iconic. That JLC looks like a mess.

I like Reverso and the ultra thin moon, but just save for them, don't trade an icon!

I own a JLC Master Compressor and a Rolex Explorer. Depending on your situation, either brand produces nice timepieces.
I love the styling of the master compressor, and only selective people will know the brand (just the way I want it; and we would have interesting horology discussion), but sometimes I need understated watch like the explorer.

I genuinely can't believe some of the comments I'm reading on this thread - JLC are one of the great watch houses and Rolex can't get near them for build quality, movements or bang for buck (and I'm not dissing Rolex, which I love).

If you like the Master Compressor - and I've handled many, they're outstanding watches - then give it a go. No-one else can tell you what you want

Absolutely!

I'd trade any of my Rolexes, except the ones with sentimental value, for one of these.
