I can't wait! SS Oysterdate is on its way!

I just heard from RSC Dallas today, they have completed the service of my 1963 SS Oysterdate (my father's) and have already mailed it! They told me they were able to get all the parts from Geneva, as it is an older model, were able to completely overhaul it, replace the crystal (which was cracked) and make repairs to the bracelet, with one replacement link and pin. Other than that the case and bracelet were cleaned up, the winding crown and stem were replaced and all seems well!

I am so excited to see it...I really wanted to preserve the watch in the most original condition that I could and it seems to have worked out. I don't know what to expect; as the watch is 40+ years old I am not expecting it to look brand new. I just hope it runs well and the bracelet is able to take more wear and tear.

Pictures will be coming as soon as the mail can get here!
